LOOK BACK: Over 62,300 BTS fans celebrated ARMY Day at the Pearl ARMY Festa & Bazaar 2022

Updated: Oct 23, 2023

The biggest turnout for an ARMY-led event happened at the first-ever Pearl ARMY Festa & Bazaar. Over 62,300 BTS fans gathered at the Ayala Malls Vertis North on July 8 to 10, 2022, to celebrate everything BTS and ARMY.

Event organizers ARMY Connect PH (ACPH) and Titas of BTS (TOB) left no purple stone unturned to put together an experience that entertained, enriched, and enabled Pearl ARMYs (and non-ARMYs alike) to show their love and appreciation for BTS and the ARMY fandom.

Central to the event is the three-day Pearl ARMY Bazaar, which featured merchants offering official BTS & ARMY-made merchandise, Korean food and grocery items, and other exciting finds.

Also featured is “The Rise of Bangtan,” a photo exhibit that highlights BTS' colorful 9-year history as the most successful band coming out of Korea and Asia. The exhibit included a free viewing of “The Rise of Bangtan,” a docu-series produced by ARMY film editor Aneesa Mahboob. A second exhibit called “Art by ARMYsts” also featured artworks created by Pearl ARMY.

Another delightful attraction is the “Marry Me, Bangtan” Photo Booth, which took the "Yoongi, Marry Me!" inside joke between BTS and ARMY to a whole new level. Pearl ARMYs “tied the knot” with their BTS bias and went home with photos to prove it! The lovely wedding altar set, designed by 2171 Floral Creations, made the whole experience memorable.

Other attractions such as the Pearl ARMY Wall (an interactive message wall for ARMYs), Barktan Sonyeondan (Ayala Malls Vertis North's own pet park turned purple with BT21 and TinyTAN characters), the BTS-ARMY family concert wall, Whalien 52 statue, and the giant BTS logo installation completed the Borahaefication of Ayala Malls Vertis North.

Titas Of BTS also took the event as an opportunity to hold its first-ever in-person grand meet-up. Attendees enjoyed a round of games and raffle, followed by a meaningful dance workshop led by Chace Cruz, the lead choreographer of Ace Crew of Fitnessmax Center. Workshop participants learned the steps to BTS' hit song “Permission To Dance.”

After that, the crowd was treated to a special performance of "Run BTS" by volunteer dancers from TOB and the Deafed Training and Assessment Center, who crafted a unique choreography incorporating Filipino Sign Language (FSL).

As if all these were not enough, guests who joined the #FeedYourSeoul Grand Raffle also got to take home prizes including BTS standees, official BTS and ARMY-made merchandise, and so much more!

The Pearl ARMY Festa & Bazaar is presented by ARMY Connect PH and Titas of BTS in partnership with Ayala Malls Vertis North. Co-presented by Funhan Mart, Chew Chew Junction, The Rise of Bangtan, Smart Communications, Penshoppe, Fresh, Casadea, Answer: Treat Yourself, 2171 Floral Creations, and IC3 Digital Productions. Sponsored by Apop, Kiddie Affairs Custom Cakes, Seoul District PH, KCS Shopping, Bangtan Style Club, Shopparkjimin, KLightbox, Carina Jewels, M’s Boutique, Conly-Clem Marketing, Samgee ARMY, Still By Francis, Made 4 ARMY, Purple Hub, Pearl Pop, Xanto Pop, and Jumimo Handmade Jewelry.
